Dessert

Dessert was our biggest challenge as we didn’t enjoy the taste of soy ice cream. Some suggestions are below:
-Chocolate mousse
- Awesome chocolate cake
- Lemon tart
- Strawberry custard tart
- Chocolate dipped strawberries (with a glass of champagne!) 
- Chocolate orange roulade (but fill with dairy free cream and use icing on outside of the cake)

Thai style crème caramel (this is quite nice but shouldn’t be left in the fridge too long)
- Jelly (for the kids!)
- Meringues
- Sorbet
- Fruit platter

These suggestions are all adequate, but after a while we found them a bit limiting. So we did some further investigation and found that you can use coconut cream/milk to make ice cream. Kohu Road make one variety (coconut and rum). I like it but we found alot of people don’t like rum. So, we took the plunge and bought an ice cream maker – we have actually had great success with this and it is pretty easy – just takes a couple of times to get the hang of it. Our favourite is chocolate and orange chocolate chip! So here is the
